Do you take money out of my BERT account?
No funds will be deducted from your BERT account to cover the cost of your training. Your BERT account is only used as a reference to determine the amount of funding we will authorise.
What is the relevance of my BERT account?
We use the amount in your BERT account as a benchmark to help us decide how much we can reimburse toward the cost of your training.
Does BERT Training Queensland do the training?
No, we are not a training provider. We do however work very closely with several providers (RTO’s). For a list of courses and the RTO’s that provide the training, click here.
How much of the training costs will you cover?
In most cases we will not cover the full cost of your training. The amount we will contribute will depend on a variety of factors, so we encourage you to complete an application form as soon as you know the details about the training you want to do. We will advise you in writing about the amount that we will pay.
What other costs will you cover?
We may reimburse you for the costs of any textbooks required to complete the course. We will not pay any other related costs such as services provided by persons ‘organising’ the training.

How many courses can I do?
You can undertake up to 2 courses over a 12 month period.
Who pays for the training?
You must pay for the training up front. BTQ will only reimburse toward the costs of training.

Where do I have to do the training?
You can do the training anywhere you like.
